Course Fees Initial Payment    $620 This payment covers the enrollment procedure, the course text books, the course work books, theory examination and Certificate issue.  The initial payment is made on application to the course. Practical Training   $75 per hour The practical training is paid after each training session to the Practical Trainer. Practical Assessment    $180 At the conclusion of the practical training there is a Practical Assessment.  This is conducted by an appointed Assessor. The successful completion of this assessments  qualifies you for a Driving instructors licence. There is no futher testing with the RTA. The practical component of the Trent education training package is competency based. This means time taken and cost will vary from student to student, depending on ability, experience and practice. The average number of practical course hours is aprox 35.  Some can complete the course in as little as 20 hours and some it may take 50 hours or more. To obtain this letter you need to undergo a series of checks and tests. These are : Hold a Full Licence ( for 3 out of the last    4 years)                 Pass a medical exam                 Pass a police character check                 Pass a road rules knowledge test                 Pass a driving ability test When these requirements have been met the RTA will issue you with an Eligibility Advice.  A copy of this leter is required to enroll in the course.
